ADELITA HUSNI-BEY

A HOLIDAY FROM RULES - artist's book

2-a-holiday-form-rules

A Holiday from Rules is an artist’s book that accompanies the work carried out by Adelita Husni-Bey during her period of residence at Fondazione Pastificio Cerere, in Rome. Her project starts from her interest in radical pedagogy and its way of laying the groundwork for an alternative society, different from the one we live in.

The project is made up of two works, mainly inspired by anarchist movements and the experience of the Escuela Moderna, established in 1901 in Barcelona by the freethinker Francisco Ferrer y Guardia. The book contains documentary materials from the artist’s research, sketches, notes and photographs.
