Azzurro is a photographic work selected exclusively for Pelagica articulated through a series of sixteen photographs taken in the seas of the Mediterranean. The images suggest an itinerary focused mainly on the Adriatic coast, circumnavigated heading south to Sicily. “Azzurro” (the blue color) is the reference, the only sign that unites the views and landscapes encountered, which I tried to represent, rather than tell, according to what is for me the idea of the sea and in particular, of the Mediterranean. In this series of photographs is not an attempt to represent the sea as a dominant element of the natural landscape, but rather, as the protagonist of some Western cultures.
